Jacob Tangir, M.D. Gynecologic Oncologist is now primarily serving Broward County.  Dr. Tangir specializes in comprehensive gynecologic cancer care and advanced non-malignant pelvic surgery with a particular interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

Dr. Tangir earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas and completed a research fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.  He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut.

Dr. Tangir’s other notable accomplishments include training in minimally invasive surgery for gynecologic cancer as well as writing several articles and book chapters in the field of Gynecologic Oncology. He has also presented his research findings in both national and international meetings in the specialty.

The Center for Gynecologic Oncology is conveniently located in Hollywood at 3990 Sheridan Street for doctors in South Broward with a second office at the Memorial Miramar Medical Office Building.  Dr. Tangir has full privileges in the Memorial Hospital System.
