Christine Edwards, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., the Director of Florida Perinatal Center, LLC joins VitalMD in March 2010, bringing with her over 25 years of expertise in the field of high risk obstetrics.

Dr. Edwards is Board-certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine and has served the community in a private practice setting in New York, Maryland and Florida, since 1989. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Barnard College / Columbia University, and her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. Dr. Edwards completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York and her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Edwards has held academic appointments as clinical instructor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and the University of Maryland in Baltimore.

Dr. Edwards remains active on both a local and national level through her affiliations with such organizations as American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. She has published articles in her field and has been interviewed by television and radio media.
 
Her practice is accredited by American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) and by the American College of Radiology (ACR). She specializes in Ultrasound Diagnostic testing and Consultations and was joined by her associate, Dr. Laura Walsh Laffineuse, in 2008.
